The Bridgestone Arena was also a hub of big sports events. For instance, the venue hosted the championships of the U.S Figure Skating Association in 1997, and the Gymnastics championships of 2004. Other teams have been taken the venue as home such as the AFL team Nashville Kats between 1997 and 2001. Also, the arena hosted several basketball events such as some games of Southeastern Conference such as men's tournaments in the years 2001, 2006, and 2010.
The venue also hosted three time the NCAA mens Basketball Tournaments including one in 2012. Since 2002, the bull riding competitions PBR Built Ford Tough Series that were being held in Municipal Auditorium have been hosted in the Bridgestone Arena excluding only for the 2 years of 2005 and 2006. The arena also hosted some games of the Southern Professional Hockey League including between the Huntsville Havoc and the Knoxville Ice Bears.
Apart from the sports events, Bridgestone Arena has also hosted different musical events such as the Country Music Association Awards of 2006 as well as several concerts of big names as well as religious gatherings. The venue has a different capacity range related to the configuration. For instance it has 19,395 seats for basketball, 17,113 for ice hockey, and 10,000 for half-house concerts. The venue is also host different theater and Broadway shows as it is converted into Music City Theater.
